Almost every time I hand push my '74 2.0L out of the garage, I hear this annoying clicking noise coming from the left front wheel area. The noise seems to disappear once the car is out of the garage and I never hear it while driving. The noise seems to only occur when the car is pulled backwards and never forwards. I do not hear it if I jack the car up and spin the wheel. I have pulled the wheel and see nothing out of the ordinary that might cause it. I am stumped.
In the attached video below, the sound is quite amplified by my iPhone. The actual sound is far more subtle, but it is there. The crunching at the end of the video is just me pulling the hand brake to stop the car. Does this sound familiar to anyone? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-O02BBH-sc Thanks, Osnabruck914 |

Something could be in the wheel hub. Could be a bearing issue, could be something stuck in the caliper. Take the wheel off and see what the issue is, for peace of mind and before it becomes a major issue.

Something is either loose in the wheel hub assembly, or it might be the pads shifting (which is normal on all disc brake vehicles).

Have someone sit in the car and lightly depress the brake pedal. Does the noise go away?

All good suggestions. I will investigate further. Thank you all.
