Up here we call them moguls (like the winter Olympics). It just adds a level of difficulty to the drive around the highest alpine lake in North America.

I hear @tygaboy is running out of projects and is looking for something else to do ...
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

PS: Please, not another "lets sit in the casino all weekend" Tahoe event. I spent most of the weekend alone on top of the parking garage with the occasional pity beer delivery break.

Sheraton Sonoma Wine Country Petaluma (Marriott) may be an option.
Last I remember, the rooms were affordable and clean.
EZ access with ample parking. I am just not familiar with the area enough to suggest good driving roads.
I am sure there are plenty of good eating options in the area.

Well that's not right. Hopefully you were able to tolerate the abomination with copious amounts of beer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

That's not right and wherever the WCR is now and in the future, let's commit to avoiding a recurrence.

To us, the best part of every WCR has been getting out and driving our cars together (and being a member of our community of folks that are enamored with a quirky little car from a collaboration between VW and Porsche).

We had plenty of driving time, that wasn't the problem.

But a big part of past WCR's has been the parking lot gatherings with food, beer and car talk. That part was 100% missing from the last Tahoe WCR.

Last years event was in SoCal, so one would assume elsewhere. Very happy to help, and if it is another SoCal location, happy to orchestrate.

For the groups consideration, and as a central location to drive attendees, throwing out there Central and North California to make it easier for the upper PNW teeters. Obviously, alot of options between San Luis Obispo and Eureka. Same for inland, Yosemite, Reno-area Seqouia could be great.
