Got the car down at Six Fix in Fountain Valley. These guys are great! The 2258 with 44s are installed. Trans with new first gear and JWest Shifter among other things. Dual fan oil cooler. Will be firing it up and driving next week.

Can't remember what that bracket is for in the last image. Anyone know? I'm just having a brain fart.

I agree with @porschetub on the FI air cleaner bracket - you don't need that anymore.

Nice work - great color!

It's a revelation to me how much "cleaner" the carb setup is compared to my original 1.7L with fuel injection. You can actually see the top of the motor, no snake nest of hoses subject to vacuum leaks, big air cleaner assembly, but I'm well satisfied with the current maintenance and performance of my 73 teener.
