This 73 has been infamous in my neighborhood. Legend has it that it was parked in 1983 after the teenager driving it ran from the cops. I am the 4th person on my street to own it. Basically it was left for dead.
I dragged it out of my neighbors yard with a chain and started the endless job of cleaning rat poop, oak leaves, and squirrel belongings. Although it only has 59,000 miles the engine is frozen. My sons and I are working on dropping the engine. Because it has sat so long noting is coming off easily. Wish us luck!

Thank you, I do not have a title. I figure I will deal with that as it comes.
Because paint jobs are so expensive my plan is to do a black trunk, roof and frunk and have the sides be the silver patina. I pulled the rockers off and luckily it is clean. I do have a hell-hole to deal with of course.
Oh and the had had this crazy Maserati air horn with three trumpets installed in each wheelwell. haha

I would recommend working on the title first, or at least as a very high priority. You don't want to put a lot of time, effort and money into this car only to find out you can't get the title. Or even worse, that it was stolen.

Good luck. Maybe start with a 55 gallon drum of Kroil?

And what is that blue thing? Fuel pump?

Cool neighborhood project - seems it's just your turn!
he posted earlier that the maserati item is the air pump for the horns in each front wheel well.

Silver is a great color for a 914, congrats. Def agree with getting the title in order as first priority.

No need to paint the trunks black unless you want to. Stock silver color is available in rattle can, and the black will definitely devalue the car…if that matters to you.
