A couple front suspension questions. Working on 1970 914-6 if it matters.
1. What would be a good starting length for tie rods? I took a rough measurement of ours when I removed them, but I think something is not correct. Left to right was not even close to the same length. The number of threads visible on inner and outer tie rod ends weren't close to the same either. 2. Is there any reason I shouldn't have the struts powder coated? Minus the spindle of course. Most of the paint is gone off of ours. Though I can see a couple place where they were originally gray. |
