Hi folks,
currently eBay is full of the brand new green metallic 1/18 DieCast Porsche 914, and I wonder if anybody of you already bought one? Norev will also bring up a signal orange 914-6. Now ... my question is, if anybody could tell me, if this miniature is constructed in several interchangable modules like body, chassic, interior, bumpers and so on?? Could it easily get dismounted and reassambled? My plan would be to combine parts of the 1975 green metallic with the signal orange 914-6 to get a nice green metallic 914-6 with fuchs wheels, black interior and chrome bumpers - just like my "big one" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) Maybe anybody could check if this could be done easily with screwdiver and without glue ...? Thanky in advance for your input (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

Hi,
No idea if you can disassemble or not but I was in contact with Norev asking if they would make a 914/4 in signal orange.... this is their answer Hello, We thank you for your interest in Norev and our model cars, Orange is currently an exclusive colour for Ravensberger Handelskontor who have ordered a 914-6 in this colour. There will be no orange 914 in the Norev range in the foreseeable future, but it may follow one day. Have a nice day Tatiana Service Commercial Tel : +33 (0)4 37 72 22 61 NOREV S.A.S. - 70-72 Avenue de Böhlen - 69120 Vaulx-en-Velin France I saw this one online with the fuchs and stripes and thought it would be nice in signal orange .... cheers Dax |

I bought the Yellow /6 from Amazon and it arrived today. Very cool, highly detailed model. Targa top is removable showing a very detailed interior that matches my 1974 2.0 almost perfectly. Nothing else opens but the front wheels steer and turn the steering wheel.

Just look at the badge. I have an orange /6 and the green ‘75 both are highly detailed and great representations of a 914. |

Anyone know if these are the same as the Autoart models?? Look to be. They are not. I have 3 cars: a Signal Orange AUTOart 914/6 that is very detailed; doors, trunks, hood and has a metal removable roof. 5 lug Fuchs and Euro taillights and front turn signals. A Revett yellow/greenish cheaper diecast with plastic roof and everything that opens is functional including headlights. 4 lug Fuchs with no engine designation. Euro taillights but US spec turn signals. and a the newest one the NoRev 2.0 a greenish/yellow. nice finish but nothing opens except the removable plastic roof. 4 lug Fuchs. Euro taillights and turn signals. all 3 have the 914VWPorsche script, even the 6. No lettering on the engine lid. |

I was looking around and found a few other sources for the Norev 914. Looks like they are available in red, orange, yellow, metallic green and ravenna green. Prices are all over the place, as is shipping. Norev is quite a bit less expensive than AutoArt, so I doubt these are based on the AutoArt 914.

They have no cars. backordered until August??? The next links appear to be the same NoRev car from different sites with different prices. NoRev is much different than AUTOart. NoRev has a clean nice looking car but hardly any functionality. AUTOart cars are much nicer have a lot of functionality but are much more expensive. |

The major difference between AUTOart/others and NoRev is that one is metal and one is resin.

I have a white Autoart and a Signal Norev, both are metal, but the Autoart has LOADS more detail, working flip-up headlights, etc.
As far as form and presentation, both are nice. |

+1 they look the same but AutuArt is much more detailed. I have a friend that custom paints these but have only seen pics of the work.
